Why we need to remove the incumbent

The Truth about our district

I hate painting any politician in a negative light as much as the next person, but as voters, we deserve to know the truth. The truth is the incumbent Ryan Bent has used this seat, funded by our taxpayer dollars, for personal and partisan benefit. We need to get politics out of education, and that starts locally with voting out the incumbent.

Politics over Students

The incumbent has consistently advocated for partisan politics over student success. In fact, he has advocated against freedom of speech while calling faculty and students thugs and persons of low moral character. That is not appropriate trustee behavior. This has led to a declaration of "no confidence" in his leadership.

Abuse of Power

The incumbent has shown a pattern of abuse of power, including getting into yelling matches with students that he is supposed to represent. This has led to him being recommended for censure twice.
